Why Pilates?
Pilates targets the transverse abdominis (TA), our deepest abdominal muscle and the key to spinal support.  The other component of Pilates is the diaphragm (the breathing muscle) which is critical for correctly activating the TA. Together, these 2 muscles ensure that we get the results we are looking for in core strengthening. Besides core strength, people love Pilates because aesthetically it shrinks our waistline, improves out posture and helps with overall conditioning.

It's contemporary!
Beth's Pilates instruction is considered Contemporary Pilates because it's based on the work of Joseph Pilates (the creator of Pilates), but has been modernized by adjusting the exercises to fit with current research and has a heavy influence from Postural Restoration physical therapy and the science of biomechanics.

Why Pilates with Beth?
Beth has 20+ years of experience as a Pilates Instructor and 10+ years of working, collaborating, and studying with Postural Restoration Physical Therapists. She is one of the few people in the world to offer such a specialized Pilates class, 1:1 mat Pilates, and 1:1 Reformer.

**The Reformer is the available Pilates equipment at Attune Fitness.

One-on-one Pilates:

In-person
(virtual option if you have a Reformer at home)

Attune Fitness is the Reformer.

If you're interested in exploring Pilates on the Reformer, one-on-one sessions are the way to go! The Reformer can help with conditioning, balance, getting back in touch with core muscles you haven't spoken to in a while (or ever!). It may look like a medieval torture device, but it's a fun tool to work out on!

Get one-on-one mat Pilates attention in your personal training sessions. Mat Pilates one-on-one is the way to go if you need individual attention on exercise form and want help with specific health concerns with Pilates exercises. It is also great for beginners who want to learn which Pilates exercises are safe for their body, and how to modify the exercises.

Weekly Virtual Mat Pilates Class

This isn't any ordinary Pilates class. Beth's Postural Restoration training allows her to offer a unique Pilates experience. The combination of Pilates and Postural Restoration in this class results in a targeted, effective, power-packed workout that activates abdominal muscle engagement and diaphragmatic breathing for good posture and core strength.
